2 week check-up

We had the girls 2 week check up on Thursday, March 5th with their AMAZING pediatrician, Dr. Clark. We met Dr. Clark when she was the on-call Dr. while we were in the hospital and we instantly feel in love with her! So much so that we switched to her even though we had already picked another pediatrician from another clinic. As of now I am BEYOND excited and happy with our choice. She has been amazing with the girls.

So the updates are:

Cambria weighed in at 6lbs .06oz, so VERY close to being back at her birth weight! Dr. C was VERY impressed with this! She looks great! Dr. C did notice a little bit of heart murmur, which she thinks is completely normal for her age and for her prematurity at birth, she things it will go away soon but is having us get a heart ultrasound just to make sure it isnt anything serious. None of us are worried because both girls had a TON of heart ultrasounds while I was pregnant since I was in the high risk clinic and they always passed with flying colors. She has also grown a LOT! She is 19 1/4inches now! Thats over an inch in growth since birth!

Kaylin weighed in at 5lbs 10.6oz, so she is OVER her birth weight by over 4 oz! She is catching up with her big sister! :-) She has also grown and is now 18 3/4 inches. so she has grown and inch and 3/4 since birth!

They are both great eaters, and have plenty of wet and dirty diapers, which is a good sign! They both do great at sleeping most of the time. They usually go 2-4 hours between feedings and sleep in between. They are now starting to get closer to 3-4 hours which is nice on Mom and Dad!

The Dr. was very pleased with their development and doesnt need to see them again until their 2 month appointment! That seems like forever away, but am glad to hear they are doing so well.
